Inclusive Joy & Movement Session is a joyful, interactive session designed for people of all abilities, combining music, rhythm, movement and playful interaction.

Hands-on instruments — shakers, drums and percussion — invite genuine participation, however that looks for each person. Whether someone joins through full movement, gentle rhythm play or simply being part of the shared sound and energy of the room, the session is built around connection and self-expression rather than any single way of taking part.

Hyper brings years of hands-on inclusive entertainment experience, including a 2023 NT Disability Inclusion Awards nomination, and creates a warm, supportive space where every participant — and their carer or support worker — is genuinely welcome to join in.

What Happens on the Day

Hyper creates a warm, welcoming space and leads the group through music, rhythm and movement using hands-on instruments and props.

Participants explore sound and rhythm together through shakers, drums and percussion, with simple call-and-response games and movement activities adapted to suit different abilities. Carers and support workers are warmly encouraged to join in, helping the session feel like a shared experience rather than something happening to participants from the outside.

This works especially well as a regular program activity or a one-off celebration where genuine sensory engagement and connection are the priority.
